1. Who are you?
My name is Lasse Damgaard, I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere in Denmark, and I've been into photography since the beginning of 2005.

2. What's your creative mantra/motto?
I must admit, I don't really have one. I do what I do, because I enjoy doing it, and because I love seeing people's reaction to it.

3. Who or what inspires you?
Richard Avedon has had a big influence on my portraits. Other than that, I get inspired by the contrasts of life - young and old, black and white, rich and poor. I just find contrast fascinating - not just in photos.

4. How did you get the idea for your featured project?
Almost a year before the Seagate project, I was dared into taking a portrait of a man in a shopping mall in the United States. That started my interest in portraits and eventually turned into a series of American portraits, and almost a year later, European portraits.

5. What's next?
My final goal is to make a series of portraits from all seven continents. South America is in my plans for this year, and then it's just a matter of saving up enough money to venture on to the four remaining continents.

6. Apart from your Seagate FreeAgent hard drive, what's your favourite creative gadget!?
Well of course nothing compares to the FreeAgent, but a close second would be my Holga camera. It's the cheapest, weirdest little toy-camera, but behind its low-budget exterior lies the means to create breathtaking images.

7. What's the most precious thing you store on your Seagate FreeAgent hard drive?
My irreplaceable portraits and hundreds of other photos are stored on it. It's a wonderful alternative to my other big, bulgy external hard drive when I'm on the go.
